Lukashenka Appoints 20 New Judges

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree on personnel changes in the judicial system, his press service reports.

Under the decree, 20 new judges have been appointed. They previously worked in the judicial system, law enforcement and tax authorities, customs, the legal profession and the banking sector.

New heads have been appointed at a number of courts. The terms of office of several sitting court chairpersons have also been extended. They include Minsk City Court Chair Tatsiana Tupik, whose term has been extended for five years.
