Lithuanian Border Guards Shoot Down Another Drone Used by Cigarette Smugglers

Lithuania’s State Border Guard Service reported intercepting another drone used by cigarette smugglers.

The drone was spotted on Saturday near the settlement of Tribonys. Border guards used an interception device, causing the UAV to lose control and crash. A search was launched, and the drone was soon found 2 km from the settlement. It was carrying 320 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes bearing Belarusian excise stamps.

This is the 61st drone intercepted since the beginning of the year. In 2025, Lithuanian border guards intercepted 59 UAVs throughout the entire year.
