A jet-powered drone entered Belarusian territory from Ukraine overnight on August 31. Its route was tracked by the Ukrainian monitoring channel “Rynda Monitorit,” and the “Flagstok” outlet reported on the incident.
At around 2:30 a.m. Minsk time, the UAV was heading toward the village of Tsiarukha in Homiel district. A few minutes later, it changed course and headed first toward Rechytsa and then toward Vasilevichy.
At 2:44 a.m., the monitoring channel reported that the drone was heading toward Naroulia. Eight minutes later, the aircraft was still in the area and was maneuvering. Its presence prompted an air raid alert in the Korosten district of Ukraine’s Zhytomyr region.
At around 3 a.m., the drone left Belarusian airspace and headed toward the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone in Kyiv region.
Thus, the drone remained over Belarusian territory for about half an hour. Its type and affiliation have not been officially confirmed. Belarusian authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
