Italy’s Foreign Ministry will investigate the issuance in Minsk of a visa to a suspect in sabotage in Leipzig. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this.
“There will be an investigation. All of this, however, confirms that there is an attempt by countries… to carry out actions against the EU, even using people who may have no criminal record and are not under suspicion. That is why, when I say we must remain on alert, I say it with good reason, because I know what methods they use. I know what tools these countries have always employed, even in the past, and therefore we must continue to be vigilant”, he is quoted by Euractiv as saying.
It was reported yesterday that one of the suspects in the sabotage carried out in Leipzig in early August is a man from Belarus who holds a Russian passport. It was established that he obtained an Italian tourist visa in late April at the Italian Embassy in Minsk and entered Germany using it.
