Investor Consortium Acquires Lesta Group

Joint-stock company Promyshlennye Sooruzheniya has become the new owner of the Lesta group of companies, which was nationalised by the Russian government last year. Lesta comprises the former World of Tanks assets in Belarus and Russia.

According to RBC, Promyshlennye Sooruzheniya is a consortium of private investors focused on developing Russia’s gaming industry. The change of ownership will not affect Lesta’s management team or development strategy.

“We believe in the strategy and management of Lesta Games and support both its current approach to developing the trilogy and its plans to launch new projects. Since the beginning of this year, the company has introduced a process allowing any employee to propose an idea for a new game. We fully support this initiative,” a representative of the new owners was quoted as saying.

Promyshlennye Sooruzheniya was registered in Moscow two years ago, in November 2024. Its owners are unknown.

On the day Promyshlennye Sooruzheniya became the owner of Lesta’s main legal entities, the company also changed its CEO. Zakhar Kislykh took up the position on 15 October. RBC reports, citing a source, that Kislykh joined Lesta at the very beginning, arriving from the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo) with a team led by former VK CEO Boris Dobrodeev. He remains on the company’s staff.
