The Investigative Committee has initiated special proceedings against presenter and singer Katsiaryna Vadanosava.
She is accused of rehabilitating Nazism (Part 3 of Article 130-1 of the Criminal Code) and denying the genocide of the Belarusian people (Part 1 of Article 130-2 of the Criminal Code).
The Investigative Committee has demanded that Vоdanosava appear at its Minsk department.
The criminal case against Vоdanosava was opened by the Prosecutor General’s Office in March 2026. According to the charges, Katsiaryna posted videos online in the form of educational lectures in which she allegedly “manipulated certain facts” about Belarusian history.
Prosecutors identified in some of the videos “fabrications in which the suspect glorified Nazi criminals and their accomplices, including members of nationalist collaborationist formations (‘Auxiliary Police’, the ‘Belarusian Central Council’ and others), deliberately praised them and the crimes they committed against the civilian population of the Byelorussian SSR.”
