On the morning of May 10, subscribers of the Minsk-based provider “Kosmos Telekom” lost internet access. Neither local nor foreign websites were accessible, including the operator’s own website, Onlíner reported.
The company’s support service told a reader of the outlet that the provider’s network had come under a massive DDoS attack.
“Our specialists are working to repel this attack, but at the moment we cannot provide a timeframe for restoring internet service functionality,” the company said.
The technical support hotline has an automated message informing callers that specialists are overloaded and wait times are too long. Subscribers are advised to call back later or leave a request for a callback on the company’s website.
