An expert team from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is visiting Belarus to assess the country’s civil aviation security system against acts of unlawful interference.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport, the experts met with the head of the ministry, Aliaksei Liakhnovich.
“Our main priority remains the incorporation of ICAO standards into national legislation. Recently, a number of aviation regulations have been revised based on the organization’s documents,” the minister said.
He stressed that the Belarusian side supports an objective and constructive audit. The country is ready to consider any proposals and recommendations that could help improve its national system for protecting civil aviation against unlawful interference.
This is the second audit ICAO has conducted in Belarus this year. In February, the country successfully passed an inspection in the area of flight safety.
