Human Rights Defenders’ Telegram Channel Declared “Extremist” in Belarus

The Ministry of Information has updated its list of “extremist materials.”

The following have been added to the list:

• the Telegram channel of Mahiliou human rights defenders “MAYDAY MOGILEV,”
• the Telegram channel “ROGIMOV,”
• the Telegram bot “Предложка за МКАДом,”
• the Telegram bot “Реклама Tribuna.com”;
• the Telegram bot “Редакция БГ,”
• the Instagram account “li_vetrava.”

Belarusian authorities regularly use “extremism” charges to crack down on political opponents and dissent in general.
