How Belarusians Will Work And Rest In 2026

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has published the calendar of public holidays and non-working days for 2026.

The first long holiday period in the new year will run from January 1 to January 4. Another four-day break is scheduled in April, from April 18 to April 21.

According to the approved schedule, the working day on Monday, April 20, will be moved to Saturday, April 25. As a result, days off will fall on April 18, 19, 20 and 21. At the same time, organisations, taking into account the specifics of their production processes, are allowed to move the working day on April 20 to another Saturday that is a day off.

The following days have been declared non-working in 2026:
January 1 and 2 — New Year;
January 7 — Orthodox Christmas;
March 8 — Women’s Day;
April 21 — Radunitsa;
May 1 — Labour Day;
May 9 — Victory Day;
July 3 — Independence Day;
November 7 — October Revolution Day;
December 25 — Christmas.
