A resident of Homiel took alpha-PVP, called the police and claimed that neighbors had broken down his door and planted drugs in his apartment. The man was ultimately sentenced to two years of “home chemistry.”
In May this year, the man, who has a Group 3 disability, bought about 2 grams of alpha-PVP. He kept the drug at home and later used it “with the help of various devices,” the Homiel Regional Executive Committee’s Department of Internal Affairs reported.
While under the influence of the psychoactive substance, the man called the police and claimed that someone had broken down the door to his apartment and planted drugs there. Police officers who arrived inspected the apartment and found traces of alpha-PVP in a syringe, as well as a piece of foil containing the drug.
A criminal case was opened against the Gomel resident for possession of psychotropic substances without intent to sell. He was sentenced to two years of restriction of liberty without being sent to an open-type correctional institution.
