Heating is being turned on in residential buildings, dormitories, municipal bathhouses and theatres in Minsk. The Minsk City Executive Committee reported that the decision was made in view of forecast colder weather next week.
Heat will be supplied to residential buildings in stages. The process of turning on the heating will take three to five days.
Residents who need to have air bled from their heating systems are advised to contact their building maintenance organisations.
As a reminder, since September 24, heating has been permitted for first-priority consumers in Minsk. These include kindergartens, schools, healthcare and medical facilities, social welfare institutions, specialised educational and sports institutions, museums, state archives, libraries and hotels.
