The Council of Ministers of Belarus has expanded the list of goods whose exporters can receive partial compensation from the state budget for transport and logistics costs.
According to the government’s press service, under a resolution signed today, exporters of wheat flour, pasta and chicken eggs will be eligible for compensation of up to 30% of transport and logistics costs for supplies to destinations outside the CIS.
At the same time, the government has expanded the list of countries for which compensation is available. Sierra Leone has been added to the list.
In August this year, the government adopted a resolution launching a pilot project to compensate part of logistics costs for supplies outside the CIS. Exporters will be able to receive compensation in 2027, provided they export food products to countries in the “far arc” during the second half of 2026. It was previously established that up to 50% of costs would be compensated for supplies of butter, cheese and baby food, while 30% of costs would be compensated for exports of poultry meat, milk powder and whey powder.
The list of countries whose imports would initially be subsidised included 55 states. They include countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, including China, Israel, India, Pakistan, Oman and others.
