Government Approves Regulations for Unified Bus Ticket Sales System

The Belarusian government has approved regulations governing the operation of the Unified State Information System for Ticket Sales for Regular Road Passenger Transport Services (GIS). The relevant resolution was signed today by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.

Under a decree issued by Lukashenka, the unified system must be established by July 1, 2027. The resolution sets out the rules for its operation, aimed at creating conditions for fair competition, improving the quality of services and further developing the legal framework governing passenger transport through digitalisation.

The same resolution authorises the Ministry of Transport to adopt the National Programme for the Facilitation of International Air Transport. The programme is expected to simplify and standardise procedures governing checks on passengers, baggage and the flight crews transporting them.

“This will create conditions for improving the quality of air transport services and reducing restrictions on international flights operated by Belarusian airlines,” the government’s press service reported.
