The French Embassy has introduced its new Chargée d’Affaires in Belarus, Lise Talbot Barré, who has taken charge of the French diplomatic mission in Minsk.
Talbot Barré graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages from the University of Portsmouth. She is also a Knight of the National Order of Merit. At France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Talbot Barré has held various positions in Paris and abroad. From 2011 to 2014, she worked at the French Embassy in Minsk as a counsellor for cooperation and cultural affairs and later as first counsellor.
She subsequently headed departments at the French Foreign Ministry, served as consul general in Pondicherry, India, and from 2024 to 2026 was counsellor for cooperation and cultural affairs at the French Embassy in Bangkok.
Her predecessor, Ludovic Royer, has completed his four-year mission in Belarus.
