Foreign Legal Entity Fined for Bribes to Secure Invitations for Performers to Concerts

At the request of Belarus’ Prosecutor General’s Office, a foreign legal entity was held administratively liable and fined more than 19,500 rubles for accepting bribes.

“In particular, the general director of a commercial enterprise systematically transferred valuables totaling at least 98,000 rubles to the director and deputy director of a cultural institution in Hrodna. The money was intended to secure joint and coordinated actions concerning a specific business entity and to conclude contracts with it to engage performing artists for cultural and entertainment events organized by the cultural institution,” the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

The case was heard by the Economic Court of Minsk Region.
