Fire Breaks Out at Polish Drone Company Facility

A fire broke out overnight at a WB Electronics plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland. The company produces composite structures and control systems for drones.

The fire alarm was triggered shortly after midnight. The fire was extinguished. Its cause is being established, and arson has not been ruled out. The fire started near a production area and an electronics warehouse.

Police are working at the scene, with fire safety experts involved, and the site is being inspected.

Given the facility’s specialization, officers from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) also arrived at the scene.

“Naturally, incidents of this kind attract the interest of the security services. Officers are constantly collecting information on the matter, analyzing it and checking for possible sabotage”, Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the minister-coordinator of special services, said.

According to him, ABW is not providing any information at this stage.

WB Group, the parent company, stressed that the fire was limited in scope. The plant will resume operations after all formalities have been completed.
