A combine harvester ran over two people in the village of Vialikaye Sialo in Svislach District. One person died and the other was hospitalised, the Investigative Committee reports.
According to preliminary information, this afternoon, on the premises of the Velikaselsky State Farm agricultural enterprise, a 58-year-old workshop mechanic driving a combine harvester ran over two farm workers.
The 58-year-old man died at the scene. The 42-year-old was hospitalised. It has been established that the mechanic operating the combine harvester was drunk.
A criminal case has been opened against the driver under Part 4 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation regulations by a person driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in a person’s death through negligence).
