The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) believes that the situation in the Belarusian labor market is stabilizing. The conclusion was presented in the bank’s weekly review of member-state economies, based on trends in unemployment and job vacancies.
“The unemployment rate in Belarus reached a historic low, falling to 2.4% in the third quarter of 2025 from 2.6% in the second quarter. At the same time, pressure on the labor market is easing: the number of posted vacancies has been declining for three consecutive months, reaching its lowest level since the beginning of the year.
The labor market is stabilizing amid a slowdown in output growth. Government policies aimed at engaging citizens in employment have helped raise the employment rate to a record high of 69.1%,” the report said.
