Emergency Situations Ministry to Hold Large-Scale Exercises in Lahoysk District

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced a major exercise in Lahoysk District. It will take place on October 28–30.

“According to the scenario, the district will be hit by a powerful cyclone with wind gusts of up to 25 m/s and heavy precipitation in the form of wet snow. These conditions will lead to falling trees, traffic congestion and road accidents, damage to buildings and structures, breaks in overhead power lines, and accidents affecting essential public utility systems,” the ministry said, outlining the exercise scenario.

The ministry aims to practice coordination among all district services, including rescuers, power engineers, road maintenance crews and medical personnel.
