Dymna Lotva Vocalist Added To Belarusian “Extremist List”

The Interior Ministry has added another 19 people to the “List of Citizens of the Republic of Belarus, Foreign Citizens or Stateless Persons Involved in Extremist Activities.”

Among them is 37-year-old Dymna Lotva vocalist Katsiaryna Mankevich. In June 2026, special proceedings were launched against her. Mankevich is charged under articles on promoting terrorism (Part 1, Article 289-1 of the Criminal Code), financing “terrorist activities” (Part 1, Article 290-1), facilitating “extremist activities” (Parts 1 and 2, Article 361-4), insulting Lukashenka (Part 1, Article 368), and violence or threats of violence against Lukashenka (Article 366-1).

The “extremist” list now contains 6,906 names.

Belarusian authorities regularly use extremism charges to crack down on political opponents and dissent in general.
