Drunk Belarusian Truck Driver Detained at Polish Border

A drunk Belarusian man driving a truck was detained at the Koroszczyn terminal on the Polish-Belarusian border, the Polish customs service reports.

The truck was entering Poland from Belarus. Polish customs officers were alerted by the driver’s manner of driving at the inspection ramp. When they approached, they smelled alcohol.

The Belarusian was not allowed to continue driving and was handed over to police officers. A breathalyzer test showed around 3 parts per thousand of alcohol in his blood.

The Belarusian faces up to three years in prison.
