Residents of four districts in Moldova reported explosions outside populated areas this morning. Police later found drone fragments in the Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă, Hîncești and Anenii Noi districts. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries, the Moldovan police reported.
The first report came in at 7:50 a.m. Residents of Căușeni reported an explosion outside the town, followed by a thick cloud of smoke. Drone fragments were found at the site. Later, fragments of a second drone were discovered near the village of Constantinovca in Căușeni District, where vegetation caught fire following the explosion.
Drone fragments were also found near the village of Dubăsari in Hîncești District and between the villages of Delacău and Puhăceni in Anenii Noi District.
Near the village of Crocmaz in Ștefan Vodă District, an explosion occurred at a vineyard near an agricultural facility. As a result, windows of the building were damaged and dry vegetation caught fire.
Police are working at the sites and determining the circumstances of the incident. Residents were urged not to approach suspicious objects or their fragments and to report them by calling 112.
