The Investigative Committee has launched an inquiry into the death of a 28-year-old driver at a sawmill in Mahiliou Region.
According to the committee, on the evening of November 3, the driver delivered rubble stone to the sawmill in a Shacman dump truck. During unloading, the raised truck bed came into contact with a high-voltage power line. The truck caught fire.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the man died from an electric shock while attempting to leave the cab,” the Investigative Committee said.
Investigators inspected the scene, documented the evidence and ordered forensic examinations. Documents were also seized.
