The Defense Ministry has published photos of firearms training sessions for negligent agricultural workers.
Some of them were firing live ammunition for the first time in their lives. During the session, the participants received instruction, practiced handling weapons at a training station and then began carrying out the exercise.
One of the participants spoke about the daily routine.
“We came here not to rest, but to learn. Compared with our work, we are more occupied during military training. Everything follows a daily schedule: from 6 a.m. throughout the day, we engage in combat training and physical work, with time only for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am sure that after returning home, my life will change significantly,” he said.
It should be recalled that Aliaksandr Lukashenka demanded that agricultural workers who performed poorly during the harvest be sent to the army. About 500 people were gathered across the country and formed into battalion tactical groups.
Yesterday, Lukashenka said that the agricultural workers had been reformed during military service and allowed the defense minister to award them.
