A command-and-staff exercise, “Indestructible Brotherhood 2026”, involving CSTO peacekeeping forces is taking place at the Losvida training ground in Belarus.
According to the organisation’s press centre, Colonel Aliaksei Yalfimau, a representative of the Belarusian Armed Forces, said that the commander of the collective peacekeeping forces had received the relevant mandate to conduct a peacekeeping operation as part of the exercise.
The force command subsequently approved the operational plan. It sets out the areas where the main efforts are to be concentrated, the tasks assigned to peacekeeping units, and arrangements for coordination, comprehensive support and command and control.
The exercise will run until October 16. Representatives of the armed forces of Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are taking part.
