The Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) conducted a command-and-staff exercise, Interaction-2026, focused on an operation to contain an armed border conflict.
During the exercise, the decision to launch the operation was presented, command authorities began planning it, and subordinate formations, military units and subdivisions received the relevant combat orders.
The Interaction-2026 exercise is taking place in Russia. Around 2,000 military personnel and 350 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are participating.
The exercise involves special-purpose units from internal affairs agencies, security agencies and special services, emergency prevention and response units, as well as operational groups from the CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat.
“The exercise features the extensive use of various types of UAVs and robotic systems, as well as practical troop exercises that take into account the experience of conducting the special military operation”, Belarus’ Ministry of Defense reports.
