Coordination Council Forms Delegation to Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities

The Coordination Council has formed a delegation to the Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. The Coordination Council also approved an updated Regulation on the delegation of Belarusian democratic forces to the Congress.

The delegation comprises representatives Iryna Khalopitsa, Yury Hubarevich, Aliaksandra Doinich, as well as deputies Mikhail Rubin, Ales Lapko, Anastasiya Svirkova.

The Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities invited Belarusian democratic forces to participate in the work of its sessions and statutory committees. The delegation consists of three representatives and three deputies, appointed by the Coordination Council from among its current members. The delegation has no voting rights, but its representatives may speak at sessions with the consent of the Congress president and participate in meetings of the Congress’s political groups.
