The Investigative Committee is conducting an inquiry into an accident in which a construction worker was injured at a building site in Polatsk. The incident occurred on October 12.
That day, a construction crew was working on a roof. A 59-year-old worker was climbing to the third level of scaffolding when he stepped onto an unsecured wooden platform. The structure gave way under his weight, and he fell to the ground. He was hospitalized and admitted to intensive care with injuries of varying severity.
Investigators examined the scene and seized relevant documentation. It was established that the man fell from a height of approximately six metres. No safety lifelines for working at height were available at the site.
