A conflict between classmates at a college in Homiel ended in a stabbing. A 17-year-old teenager was injured, the Investigative Committee reported.
“This morning, a conflict occurred between two 17-year-old students of one of the colleges during practical training at a training site. As a result, one of the minors inflicted a knife wound on his classmate. The victim was taken to hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, the young man died,” the statement said.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 139 (murder) of the Criminal Code.
An investigative task force is working at the scene. The weapon has been seized. Investigators are working with the detained minor and questioning participants in the incident and the administration of the educational institution.
