An unusual traffic accident occurred in Tallinn. A city bus collided with a delivery robot on the evening of October 26, ERR reported.
The delivery robot entered a pedestrian crossing against a red light as a city bus was approaching. The driver braked sharply, causing several passengers on board to lose their balance, fall and sustain injuries. The collision could not be avoided. The bus struck the robot and dragged it along the road, but the delivery robot eventually remained upright on its wheels and left the scene. An investigation is underway.
This is not the first time a delivery robot has been involved in a collision with public transport. In April 2020, a similar robot drove into the wheel of a bus that was turning right. No one was injured in that incident.
