China imported $747.2 million worth of Belarusian potash in 2025. Compared with 2024, supplies in value terms declined by 11.4%, according to data from China’s customs statistics.

At the same time, the dynamics of Belarusian potash imports to China improved toward the end of the year. In December, China imported nearly $119 million worth of potash fertilizers from Belarus, which was 53% more than in the same month of 2024. It should be noted that in December last year the value of China’s total potash fertilizer imports increased by 33.3% to $517.6 million, indicating rising fertilizer prices.

China’s overall imports of potash fertilizers in 2025 rose by 6.2% in value terms to $4.03 billion. The largest supplier was Russia, from which China imported $1.49 billion worth of potash, up 18.5% year on year. Belarus ranked second, followed by Laos in third place, with supplies from Laos increasing by 16% to $700 million. Canada came next, with imports down 6.3% to $691.5 million.

China’s total imports of Belarusian goods last year amounted to $1.66 billion.
