BYSOL Launches Fundraiser For Those Released On September 16

The BYSOL Solidarity Foundation has launched an emergency fundraiser to support political prisoners released today. Twenty-five people have been released. They were taken to Lithuania.

The goal of the fundraiser is to provide each of those released with €1,000. The money will be used for housing rental, medical assistance, document restoration and everyday expenses.

“In addition to material support, this is an important gesture of solidarity and human involvement. In prison, people are told for years that they have been forgotten and that no one is interested in what happens to them. Our collective support will help restore their sense of dignity, a feeling of support and a connection with the people who were waiting for them,” the foundation said.

BYSOL noted that any funds from the emergency fundraiser that remain unclaimed by March 16, 2027, will be distributed equally among those political prisoners from the group released today who have applied for assistance.
