The Council of Ministers has decided to compensate Belarusbank for losses incurred on a loan issued to Belarusian Wallpapers Holding Management Company OJSC. Government Resolution No. 312 of June 23 was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The loan agreement between Belarusbank and Belarusian Wallpapers was signed on May 26, 2026. The funds are being provided through a credit line with a maximum outstanding balance of 20 million Belarusian roubles. Belarusian Wallpapers is receiving the money to manufacture goods for export. The interest rate on the loan is set at four-fifths of the National Bank’s refinancing rate.
Belarusbank’s losses will be compensated from the republican budget between 2026 and 2029.
The director general of Belarusian Wallpapers and the chairman of Bellesbumprom have been assigned personal responsibility for ensuring exports of cellulose web products to Russia to OOO Hygien Technologies and Bella worth 1.755 million Belarusian roubles this year and at least 3.51 million Belarusian roubles in 2027–2029.
