On Aug. 28, vehicle traffic resumed on the bridge over the Svislach River in Minsk following repairs.
The reconstruction of the bridge began on July 6. The work included installing a new monolithic slab, restoring waterproofing and all pavement layers. The work was carried out around the clock.
Some work is still ongoing, including facade repairs, restoration of the railing and replacement of the bridge pavement on the sidewalks. As a result, pedestrian traffic on and under the bridge is prohibited, the Minsk City Executive Committee reports.
