Bribery Scheme for Agricultural Machinery Repairs Uncovered in Three Belarusian Regions

Economic crime officers in the Minsk region have uncovered a scheme involving bribes paid to officials of agricultural organizations in the Minsk, Brest and Hrodna regions.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the director of a private machinery repair company regularly provided remuneration to officials of agricultural organizations. The bribes were intended to secure the selection of his company as the contractor, the signing of the necessary documents and the arrangement of payment.

The Minsk Region Prosecutor’s Office opened criminal cases against six individuals under articles related to bribery.
