The Brest Region Prosecutor’s Office has referred a criminal case against a resident of Belaazersk accused of fraud to court. He faces 44 counts, with 67 people listed as victims in the case.
According to the prosecution, the previously convicted man established a company specializing in well repairs. From October 2023 to March 2026, he entered into contracts with residents of the Brest, Hrodna, Homiel, and Minsk regions, as well as Minsk, for the installation of plumbing systems and the repair and installation of wells. The man allegedly had no intention of fulfilling his contractual obligations from the outset.
The damage caused by his “activities” amounted to nearly 178,000 rubles.
The accused remains in custody pending trial.
