The production capacity of Belarusian oil refineries allows them to fully meet domestic market demand under any market fluctuations, the Belneftekhim концерн said.
The company also commented on the fuel situation in border regions, BelTA reports, assuring that demand fluctuations there are a natural process driven by seasonal activity, transit traffic intensity, and overall market dynamics.
“Monitoring of the domestic petroleum products market, including border regions, is carried out on a regular and ongoing basis. Fluctuations in demand in these areas are a natural process caused by a combination of factors, including seasonal activity, the intensity of transit transport flows, and general market dynamics. At present, supply to fuel station networks is proceeding steadily,” the company said.
Addressing so-called “fuel tourism,” Belneftekhim stated that stable supply to the population and businesses is ensured through “established reserves and precise production planning.”
“The production capacity of Belarusian oil refineries makes it possible to fully meet domestic demand, taking into account any market fluctuations. Stability of fuel supply to the population and enterprises is maintained through established reserves and clear production planning. The current situation is characterised by controlled stability, and the interests of domestic consumers remain the key priority for the industry,” the company added.
The company also noted that fuel prices on the domestic market are regulated by law.
“Work is currently being carried out within established regulations. Any decisions regarding improvements to the functioning of the fuel market are made on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the state’s socio-economic interests and in accordance with the law,” Belneftekhim said.
