On October 25, the Mission of Belarus’s Democratic Forces in Ukraine will organize a social assistance office where Belarusians can receive consultations on legalization, medical and social assistance, military service, and veterans’ rights.
As Mission head Volha Zazulinskaya explained, the purpose of the office is to help people navigate difficult situations, find the necessary contacts, and determine the next steps to resolve their problems.
“We cannot replace government institutions, but we can help ensure that a person is not left alone to deal with their problem,” she noted.
As the press service of the United Transitional Cabinet reports, particular attention will be paid to Belarusian volunteers, veterans, and their families. Anastasiya Makhamet, the Mission’s deputy head for Belarusian volunteers, veterans, and their families, said that people can seek assistance with legal, migration, and social issues related to military service and its consequences.
According to her, assistance is available regardless of the unit in which a person serves or has served. The Mission is also ready to help people navigate paperwork and determine what options are available to resolve their problems, even if they have previously been denied assistance.
In-person consultations will take place on October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while telephone consultations will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
To participate, applicants must complete the registration form in advance.
