Polish border guards have detained a Belarusian citizen at the German-Polish border who was wanted by the Polish authorities on criminal charges, the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit reported.
During the weekend of July 17-19, border guards detained four Polish citizens and one Belarusian citizen at the Polish-German border in Słubice, Zgorzelec, Jelenia Góra and Tuplice, as well as at Poznań-Ławica Airport. All five were wanted for various offences, including fraud, making threats, drink-driving, identity theft, violating court-imposed criminal restrictions, and failure to pay child support.
All those detained were transferred to detention facilities, where they will serve prison sentences imposed by the courts ranging from three to 12 months.
