Belarusian volunteer Vital Tryhubau, who used the call sign “Vitushka”, was killed on October 19 while carrying out a combat mission. The Belarusian Volunteer Corps reported the death.
A memorial service for Tryhubau will be held in Kyiv on October 30. For security reasons, the organisers said they would share the exact location and time with those wishing to attend through his fellow fighters.
The unit said Tryhubau was one of the first Belarusian volunteers to travel in a convoy to defend Kyiv in February 2022. He was a member of the Young Front organisation and served in the Volat and Terror units.
According to the corps, during his final battle Tryhubau shielded his fellow fighters from the Hatred Battalion.
