Belarusian Sergey Goncharov Elected to IIHF Council

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has elected new leadership. Franz Reindl of Germany was elected president of the federation.

Reindl will serve as IIHF president until October 2030.

A new IIHF Council was also elected. Belarusian representative Sergey Goncharov  is among its members, the IIHF press service reported.

Goncharov has served as secretary general and deputy chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation. From 2016 to 2021, he was a member of the IIHF Council and chaired the federation’s Officiating Committee.
