Belarusian Railway Dispatches Fifth Kolosok Container Train to China

Another consolidated Kolosok container train bound for China has departed from Kaliadzichy station, the Belarusian Railway said. Since March 2026, a total of five such trains have been dispatched.

The train consists of 62 forty-foot containers carrying goods produced by Belarusian enterprises. The range of cargo has been expanded for this shipment. The train travels through Russia and crosses the border into China via the Zabaikalsk border crossing.

The project is being implemented by the Belarusian Railway jointly with the state-owned company Belintertrans. Container consolidation, customs clearance, and terminal handling are carried out at the Kaliadzichy terminal.

In April, the Belarusian Railway also launched its “consolidated container” service aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. It allows cargo to be shipped from Belarus to China in minimum consignments starting from a single Euro pallet. Cargo is consolidated at a warehouse in the Great Stone Industrial Park before containers are attached to transit trains traveling from Europe to China. The service currently offers deliveries to Chengdu, Chongqing, and Xi’an.
