Poland’s Border Guard has given a Belarusian man 30 days to leave the country voluntarily. His visa had expired, and he was unable to obtain a residence permit.
Police detained the 35-year-old Belarusian in the municipality of Poniec, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. A document check revealed that he was not legally entitled to stay in Poland, Gostyń police reported.
The Belarusian had entered Poland on a visa. After his period of lawful stay expired, he applied to the voivode for a temporary residence permit. However, the proceedings were discontinued, and he did not receive permission to stay.
Police handed the man over to the Border Guard. A decision was issued ordering him to return to his country of origin. He was given 30 days to leave Poland.
