Belarusian Foreign Ministry Warns Against Travel to Venezuela Following Earthquakes

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has warned citizens about the state of emergency declared in Venezuela.

A series of earthquakes has damaged the country’s energy and transport infrastructure. Simón Bolívar International Airport has been closed. Further aftershocks are expected, and the possibility of tsunamis affecting countries in the Caribbean basin cannot be ruled out.

The Foreign Ministry advises citizens to take the unfavorable seismic situation into account when planning trips to Venezuela and other countries in the region.

The Belarusian Embassy in Venezuela can be contacted by phone at +58 4123212002 or by email at venezuela@mfa.gov.by.
