On Aug. 28, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou met with Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov.
“The sides positively assessed the strong momentum in Belarusian-Azerbaijani dialogue at the highest and senior levels, the friendly and constructive nature of interstate relations, and the results achieved in trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
Ryzhankou and Sharifov confirmed their interest in further stepping up cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Belarusian-Azerbaijani inter-ministerial consultations were also held today. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Utsyupin, while the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Sharifov.
The participants discussed the state and prospects of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and humanitarian interaction between the two countries, and also confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation and mutual support within global and regional international organizations.
“The consultations confirmed the course toward further strengthening mutual trust and deepening the strategic partnership between Belarus and Azerbaijan,” the Foreign Ministry said.
