Belarusian Emergencies Minister Vadzim Siniauski has initiated a check of the combat and mobilisation readiness of units of the Vitebsk Regional Department for operations during a special period.
The training exercise will also involve personnel from the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Emergencies Ministry, the regional fire and rescue unit, the Novopolotsk City Department, and the Polotsk and Orsha district emergency departments.
“The head of the rescue agency instructed officials to thoroughly analyse the shortcomings identified during the inspection and determine areas for further development and improvement of service activities,” the Emergencies Ministry said.
Readiness checks have also been carried out this year in the structures of the Defence Ministry and Interior Ministry.
