Belarusian Customs Uncovers Scheme To Evade Duties On Imported Trucks

The State Customs Committee has uncovered a scheme to evade customs payments when importing trucks. The damage is estimated at 470,000 rubles.

A Belarusian business entity imported 10 trucks using benefits for road freight carriers granted by Decree No. 155. As a reminder, carriers can import Euro-5 and Euro-6 trucks without paying the recycling fee for use in international transportation.

However, the business entity violated the decree’s conditions and transferred the trucks to a third party.

Customs authorities seized the company’s vehicles. A criminal case has been opened.
