Belarusian Customs Seize 14 Motorcycles From Carrier

Belarusian customs officers at the Kazlovichy border crossing uncovered a violation involving a Polish carrier.

Suspicions arose during weight and dimension checks. According to the documents, the MAN truck was carrying 2 tonnes of cargo. However, the scales showed that the cargo weighed twice as much.

During an inspection of the truck, customs officers found motorcycles that had not been declared in the customs documents.

“Their value amounted to about 500,000 Belarusian roubles. This means there was a shortfall of 89,000 Belarusian roubles in customs payments,” the State Customs Committee said.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
