Belarusian Ambassador to Egypt Yauhen Sabaleuski presented his credentials to Nabil Fahmy, the newly appointed secretary-general of the League of Arab States (LAS).
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and the LAS and its specialized organizations, including the holding of joint events in the near future.
“They gave a positive assessment of the momentum in Belarus’s engagement with Arab countries and emphasized the similarity of approaches taken by Belarus and LAS member states to building cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect and good neighborliness,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
